The Rainbow Recycling Collection Service offers a responsible and sustainable end-of-life solution for plastic-based tree protection products including Rainbow Spiral Guards and Rainbow Defender Shelters. Operating between May and September, this service ensures that used guards and shelters are removed from the landscape and processed into new products—reducing waste and supporting circular economy goals.
Whether you’re a forester, landowner, contractor, or landscaper, this service helps manage the environmental impact of tree protection materials at the end of their functional life. Simply gather used Rainbow products into dedicated recycling sacks, then either arrange a collection or drop off the full sacks at Green-tech’s depot in North Yorkshire.
By participating, you not only help reduce plastic waste in the environment but also support biodiversity and habitat restoration goals by keeping planting areas clear of degrading materials. How It Works
