Description

Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil is a specially formulated soil mix designed to improve stormwater management in bio-retention systems, swales, and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS). This high-performance soil blend is engineered to support healthy plant growth while efficiently managing water runoff, filtering contaminants, and reducing erosion. Ideal for use in urban landscaping, green infrastructure, and stormwater management projects, Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil plays a crucial role in mitigating the impact of urbanisation on local water systems.
Containing a balanced mixture of organic matter, sand, and minerals, this soil is designed to provide excellent drainage, water retention, and nutrient availability to plants, while also promoting the effective infiltration of water. Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil is the ideal solution for creating resilient, eco-friendly landscapes that help reduce flood risks and improve water quality.
Features & Benefits:
Stormwater Management: Effectively infiltrates water, reducing surface runoff and improving local water quality.
Enhanced Plant Growth: Provides a stable, nutrient-rich environment for plants, supporting long-term growth and root development.
Erosion Control: Helps reduce soil erosion in bio-retention areas, ensuring the integrity and stability of the landscape.
Sustainable Solution: Made from eco-friendly materials, Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil contributes to sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) and green infrastructure.
Versatile Applications: Ideal for bio-retention basins, swales, green roofs, and other stormwater management systems in urban environments.
Applications & Application Rates:
Bio-Retention Basins & Swales: Essential for managing stormwater runoff in urban settings, Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil helps filter contaminants and allows water to infiltrate into the ground.
Urban Landscaping: Ideal for creating sustainable landscapes that manage stormwater while supporting plant growth.
Stormwater Management Systems: Used in a range of SUDS applications to reduce the risk of flooding and improve water quality.
Public Parks & Recreational Areas: Can be applied in green spaces to enhance soil health and manage surface water.
Application Rate:
Bio-Retention Systems: Apply Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil at a depth of 300mm to 450mm for effective water infiltration and root support.
Public Spaces & Landscaping: Apply at a depth of 150mm to 200mm for effective water retention and erosion control.
Formulation & How to Apply:
Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil is a carefully engineered mix of organic matter, sand, and minerals designed to meet the specific needs of stormwater management systems. This unique formulation allows for high water infiltration, while maintaining moisture and nutrient availability to plants, ensuring healthy vegetation growth in bio-retention areas.
How to Apply:
Prepare the area by ensuring proper grading and drainage to direct water to bio-retention areas.
Spread Green-tree Bio-Retention Soil evenly over the prepared area to the desired depth.
Rake the surface to ensure an even, level distribution.
If planting vegetation, ensure roots are fully established in the bio-retention soil to promote healthy growth.
Apply mulch to surface once installed to avoid capping off of the soil
Water thoroughly to settle the soil and encourage plant establishment.
Composition: A blend of organic matter, sand, and minerals designed for stormwater management and plant support.
